"The fruit of bees is desired by all, and is equally sweet to kings and beggars and it is not only pleasing but profitable and healthful; it sweetens their mouths, cures their wounds, and conveys remedies to inward ulcers." - Saint Ambrose
This quote conveys the all-encompassing properties of honey.

Honey known as “Madhu” in ayurvedic scriptures is one of the most important medicines used in Ayurveda. In India, honey has a special status in Ayurveda. “Ayurveda” an alternative medicine system with historical roots in the Indian subcontinent, advocates honey is a cure for various ailments, diseases, chronic illnesses.

We at Marva Overseas along with “Aarambh” bring this pure nectar to the world. “Aarambh” started in 2016, works on a sole objective, to create an awareness about how honey bees play a major role in maintaining an ecological chain in farming by pollination and importance of their harvesting and conversation.

In present day, due to the excess use of pesticides in farming, honey bees are on the verge of extinction. The primary goal of Aarambh is to help create & conserve a natural habitat for honey bees to sustain natural cycle of honey bees which also produces the purest form of honey.

“Arambh” is a NGO that was formed in 2016. Arambh - Awareness about Role and Modesty of Bees in Human Life, the word literally meaning to start or to commence.

To take their work to another level, they formed an NGO called “Arambh”. Arambh - Awareness about Role and Modesty of Bees in Human Life, the word literally meaning to start or to commence.

It is known that some species of bees are known to be aggressive by nature, so these bee colonies are burnt. In order to conserve and save these bee colonies, Arambh has started settling the bees in specially created wooden boxes. Little did they know about the amount of honey these bees would produce; they were in for a sweet surprise.

They were faced with an exciting challenge – on how best to save and use this massive amount of honey? With the advice & suggestions from close family and friends, they decided to sell the produce. The money earned was later reinvested in the welfare and making better processes of the same programme.

Aarambh has successfully managed to maintain these bee colonies in different parts of India thus benefiting from the regional flowers of local plants, vegetation and spices. This is mainly planned in areas where human habitat is scarce and use of pesticides minimalistic.

These well thought and planned efforts paid off in form of seven delicious flavours of honey. Eucalyptus, Curry Leaves, Java Plum, Lychee, Mustard, Carom / Caraway seed and Coriander. These are individually collected from their respective colonies and packaged with least amount of human interference without disturbing the bee colonies.

Each flavour of honey has its own distinct medicinal use.
